The Question That Started Everything
After 16 years as a nutritionist, I've spent thousands of hours analyzing ingredient labels.
Teaching clients about nutrition means understanding how the body processes what we consume—vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, toxins. I became fluent in reading labels, spotting red flags, and asking the most important question:
What is this actually doing to the body?
But somewhere along the way, I realized I was only asking that question about food.
What about the lotions I applied every morning? The balms I used on my kids? The products I rubbed into the largest organ of my body—my skin?
When I finally started reading those labels, I was shocked.
